Job summary

Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced AppDynamics Engineer (APM / Performance Monitoring) in Pune to implement and manage monitoring solutions.

The role focuses on configuring AppDynamics, analyzing performance, and enabling proactive monitoring for high availability and optimal user experience. You will collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams, create dashboards and alerts, and integrate AppDynamics into CI/CD pipelines to support scalable performance engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years in APM / Application Monitoring / Performance Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics setup, configuration, and administration.
• Strong understanding of multi-tier architectures (monoliths, microservices).
• Experience monitoring Java, .NET, or Node.js applications.
• Knowledge of REST/HTTP APIs and web technologies.
• Familiarity with performance metrics and log analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage AppDynamics APM solutions across applications.
• Monitor performance, user experience, and business transactions.
• Analyze issues and identify root causes across code, infra, DB, and network.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and real-time monitoring reports.
• Configure Business Transactions, Health Rules, and Policies in AppDynamics.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and DevOps to resolve performance issues.
• Support incident management and troubleshooting with AppDynamics insights.
• Integrate AppDynamics with CI/CD pipelines and other monitoring tools.
• Perform performance trend analysis and capacity planning.

The role involves configuring AppDynamics, analyzing application performance, identifying bottlenecks, and enabling proactive monitoring to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and manage AppDynamics APM solutions across applications
• Monitor application performance, user experience, and business transactions
• Analyze performance issues and identify root causes (code, infrastructure, DB, network)
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports for real-time monitoring
• Configure Business Transactions, Health Rules, and Policies in AppDynamics
• Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve performance issues
• Support incident management and troubleshooting using AppDynamics insights
• Integrate AppDynamics with CI/CD pipelines and other monitoring tools
• Conduct performance trend analysis and capacity planning
• Ensure monitoring coverage across microservices, APIs, and distributed systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in APM / Application Monitoring / Performance Engineering
• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics (setup, configuration, administration)
• Strong understanding of application architecture (monolith, microservices)
• Experience in monitoring Java, .NET, or Node.js applications
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs)
• Familiarity with performance metrics (response time, throughput, latency, error rates)
• Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools
• Understanding of Linux/Unix systems
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other monitoring tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• AppDynamics certification (Associate/Professional level)
