Job summary

Infosys Equinox team seeks a capable SDET to design, develop, validate, and support automation and testing across our ecommerce-focused platform. You will gather and translate client requirements into precise system specs, estimate effort, and deliver reliable test automation for APIs and UI components.

You will mentor junior members, lead 3–4 SDETs, and represent QE in agile ceremonies. Strong communication, problem solving and teamwork are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Hands-on API testing and test automation experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• As part of the Infosys Equinox team, your primary role would be to ensure effective Design, Development, Validation and Support activities, to assure that our clients are satisfied with the high levels of service in the technology domain.
• You will gather the requirements and specifications to understand the client requirements in a detailed manner and translate the same into system requirements.
• You will play a key role in the overall estimation of work requirements to provide the right information on project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers.

• Area of Responsibility: Deep Understanding of Testing Methodologies and processes
• Building developing elegant test cases in fast Web interfaces
• Building strong automation scripts with 100% reliability and reproducibility
• Proactively pick up the automation failures for debugging and provide fixes
• Mentor the junior team members and scaling them up for handling for all automation knowledge
• Expertise in developing integration and API level testing and API Automation
• Represent the QE team in all forums and vocal with feedbacks comments
• Lead 3 to 4 SDETs/Senior SDETs in project and ensure the quality of day to day tasks of these team members
• Publishing daily report to the stakeholders with all relevant details for showcasing the progress
• Active participation in scrum and other agile meetings
• Capable of contributing testing effort to any area in the platforms technical stack
• Review the scripts/code developed by junior team members and ensure the code quality and standards are followed
Contribute at least one improvement plan technically/process wise to department on yearly basis.
