Job summary

Wipro is seeking a senior DevOps/Automation Lead to architect and drive automation initiatives across development, operations and testing teams. You will lead a DevOps group, build and optimize Ansible playbooks and modules, and align automation with CI/CD, security, and compliance requirements.

We expect 6–10 years of hands-on experience with Ansible, Python, and Linux systems, plus strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of total experience as DevOps/Automation lead.
• Strong hands-on with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Proficiency in YAML, Python, and related automation tooling.
• In-depth understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and application automation.
• Experience with RBAC, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring integrations, and ITSM tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• RHCE or Ansible Automation certifications preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python.
• Automation/Orchestration with Ansible/Puppet.
• Manage Linux-based systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) in multiple environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Strong knowledge for AAP 2.6 set up and its features
• Proficiency in YAML, Python, and related automation tools.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and application automation.
• Experience with RBAC, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and integration with monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, Ansible Automation) preferred.
• Experience with common scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python
• Automation/Orchestration experience with Ansible / Puppet
• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) in production, staging, and development environments.

• Provide customer support/ service on the DevOps tools
  • Timely support internal & external customers escalations on multiple platforms
  • Troubleshoot the various problems that arise in implementation of DevOps tools across the project/ module
  • Perform root cause analysis of major incidents/ critical issues which may hamper project timeliness, quality or cost
  • Develop alternate plans/ solutions to be implemented as per root cause analysis of critical problems
  • Follow escalation matrix/ process as soon as a resolution gets complicated or isn’t resolved
  • Provide knowledge transfer, sharing best practices with the team and motivate

    • Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxtarewell understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below
