Job summary

Atlys is seeking an Android Engineer to build and scale the Android app, delivering fast, reliable experiences for travellers. You will ship core features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architectures, focusing on performance, polish and end-to-end ownership across the visa journey.

Collaborate with product/design/backend; advocate for AI-powered flows; contribute to CI/CD and code reviews; optimize startup time, crash rates, and battery usage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Android development, shipping at least one consumer app on Play Store.
• Strong Kotlin skills with coroutines/Flow; Jetpack Compose expertise.
• Solid MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture, DI and modularisation.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL, Retrofit/OkHttp, Room; offline-first patterns.
• Familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics, Android Profiler, analytics or experimentation SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship core app experiences in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose across the visa journey.
• Own app quality and performance, reducing startup time, crashes, ANRs and battery use.
• Bring AI-powered flows into the app for faster, native experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend; run experiments and iterate on features.
