Job summary

ApplyMint in Bengaluru (Whitefield) is seeking an Android Developer – SDE 2 with 3+ years of hands-on Android experience to build, optimize, and maintain high-quality Android applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable mobile solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong Kotlin expertise, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, Dagger/Hilt, REST APIs, and performance optimization, with a focus on clean architecture and robust testing in an on-site setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Experience with MVVM, LiveData, Room, View Binding, Data Binding.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/Proto.
• Hands-on experience with Dagger/Hilt and dependency injection.
• Knowledge of Android architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement features using Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, Room, LiveData, View Binding, and Data Binding.
• Identify and resolve ANRs, memory leaks, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement DI using Dagger/Hilt and follow clean architecture and best practices.
• Integrate REST APIs and optimize RecyclerView UI performance.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure quality and stability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering in Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and technical documentation.
