Job summary

EY seeks an Analyst for Indirect Tax in Chennai as part of the TMT Tax practice. The role focuses on GST and indirect tax fundamentals, supporting day-to-day operations and compliance tasks in a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Commerce degrees with exposure to indirect tax and GST.
• Experience or understanding of Indirect Tax (IDT) concepts.
• Ability to apply tax rules to business scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of GST and indirect tax fundamentals to support day-to-day tax operations and compliance activities. Ability to handle indirect tax compliance tasks accurately, including review, preparation, and timely filing support. Proficient in applying basic tax concepts to routine consulting and compliance requirements within the TMT domain. Strong working knowledge of Excel for organizing, validating, and analyzing tax-related data and reports. Capability to ensure process accuracy and documentation quality while supporting core indirect tax compliance deliverables.
