Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred in development studies, energy technology, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in research, policy/industry engagement, and international development settings with multi-country partnerships.
  • Background in energy technology or related field is desirable.
  • Experience in conducting mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative) and data analysis.
  • Experience in clean cooking is advantageous.
  • Strong writing and communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.

About the Role/Position-

About Programme

The programme focuses on advancing initiatives in the areas of clean energy, climate change, sustainability, air pollution mitigation, and environmental management through research, programme implementation, stakeholder engagement, and policy support.

The role will provide exposure to projects related to energy transition, clean technologies, climate action, sustainable development, emissions reduction, and environmental management. The selected candidate will support research and programme activities that address critical environmental and developmental challenges, including air quality improvement, clean energy access, climate resilience, and sustainable urban and industrial practices.

This role is suitable for professionals with experience in consulting, policy research, programme management, sustainability, development sector projects, think tanks, corporates, research institutions, or implementation agencies.

The position offers the opportunity to work closely with governments, development agencies, industry stakeholders, research organizations, and international partners to support impactful and scalable sustainability initiatives.

About the Role/Position

The responsibilities would include but not limited to:

Research & Knowledge Resource Development
  • Conduct desk-based research to track sector developments and create a credible repository of information.
  • Develop research inputs for ongoing programs and projects, ensuring they align with key objectives.
  • Plan and conduct both one-to-one consultations and multi-stakeholder consultations, consolidating findings into short reports.
  • Develop credible knowledge resources such as short/long reports, case studies, and blogs for publication and sharing with stakeholders.
  • Write policy briefs targeted at specific audiences and research papers suitable for high- quality academic publication.
  • Create agendas and notes for meetings, capacity building programs, workshops, and conferences, preparing minutes and ensuring dissemination of information.
  • Provide qualitative research inputs for business proposals and other strategic
  • Track advancements in clean cooking technologies, energy policies, and market trends, ensuring alignment with broader program goals.
  • Support data collection, analysis, monitoring, and impact assessment activities to enable evidence-based decision-making and programme effectiveness.
  • Guide the analysis and interpretation of project data, ensuring that evidence-based decisions are made to optimize technology and interventions.
Program Management & Reporting
  • Manage the end-to-end process of program implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Develop detailed activity plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for various
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders, including policymakers, enterprises, funding agencies, program partners, and service delivery teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and partnership management.
  • Lead teams at the state level, including managing the work of ground agencies and partners, ensuring project goals are achieved.
  • Track and manage progress reports, newsletters, and updates in both physical and virtual formats.
  • Organize and maintain project data, ensuring timely execution, compliance, and high- quality deliverables.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual progress reports, presenting them to stakeholders for transparency and decision-making.
  • Manage team dynamics, promoting team building and fostering a collaborative environment to support project delivery.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of program goals, while also engaging experts for input and necessary outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy Development
  • Identify and engage relevant stakeholders for research and program
  • Work closely with experts and internal teams to develop proposals, concept notes, and frameworks for stakeholder input and engagement.
  • Focus on promoting innovations and advancements in the clean cooking domain, with an emphasis on improving health outcomes, promoting gender equality, and mitigating climate change impacts linked to household energy use.
  • Ensure the integration of research findings and program outcomes to maximize impact and deliver on set objectives.
Who Should Apply?
