The D. E. Shaw group seeks a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join its growing Middle Office function in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram, India. This team supports the lifecycle of the firm's global trading strategies and serves as a key link between the front office and operational teams. This desk-coverage role offers the opportunity to support the firm's trading desks day-to-day, build subject matter expertise across the trade lifecycle, and contribute to process improvements in a collaborative, forward-thinking, and inclusive environment. This position will initially be an individual contributor role, with the potential to assume people management responsibilities in the future based on business needs and the candidate's interest.
In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for trading desk inquiries, supporting post-trade operations across multiple asset classes and strategies. You will support the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement, helping ensure accurate and timely processing of trade events—including trade capture, P&L, security master, settlements, and corporate actions. You will investigate and resolve discrepancies across internal systems and external data sources, escalating issues as appropriate. You will assist in building and maintaining workflows, dashboards, and tools that monitor trading activity and operational health. You will coordinate with front office, back office, and external counterparties to help resolve operational, settlement, or reconciliation issues. You will also develop subject matter expertise in internal booking systems and workflows, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
