Job summary

Upfield in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an accounting professional to join the R2R team. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting, journal entries, and close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

You will interact with global stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and support audits while upholding strong financial controls and policy adherence. Experience with SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Ability to interact and manage multiple stakeholders across the globe.
• Operating knowledge of Accounting Software or ERP (preferably SAP).

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for end-to-end accounting of transactions for the R2R function.
• Post journal entries and ensure accurate data input into the accounting system.
• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to month-end close activities and timely reporting.
• Support internal and external auditors with documentation and audit queries.
• Assist the Country financial controller with GAAP & local statutory reporting fillings.
• Ensure integrity of financial systems and adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with Treasury, P2P, B2C & SCF teams to ensure seamless handoffs.

Main Responsibilities

General

• Take responsibility for the accurate performance of end-to-end accounting of transactions related to R2R function.
• Set high standard in stakeholder management seek and promote to improve service levels, quality, KPIs and targets.
• Identify improvement areas and pro-actively drive changes in alignment with the stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Accounting and Reporting

• Ensure all financial close activities are completed timely and in accordance with timeline, guidelines and policies.
• Posting journal entries, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate data input into the accounting system.
• Performing regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
• Participating in the month-end closing process, including preparing necessary schedules, reviewing account balances, and resolving issues to ensure timely reporting.
• Providing support to internal and external auditors by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Support Country financial controller in GAAP & local statutory reporting fillings.
• Ensure the integrity of financial systems and the operating model, in accordance with established financial policies & procedures.
• Ensure financial controls are adhered to across all the accounting and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with other finance teams (e.g., Treasury, P2P, B2C & SCF) and ensure that all hand off points are integrated seamlessly.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Should have 2 to 4 years of experience in Finance & Accounting process.
• Ability to interact and manage multiple stakeholders across the globe.
