Job summary

Revantage, a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company, seeks a skilled accounting professional based in Bengaluru. You will support real estate finance transactions, prepare Day1 entries, review fund flows, and coordinate liquidations with internal and external teams.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting (CA/ACCA/MBA) and have 2–4 years of general accounting experience, preferably in real estate. Fluency in English and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting (CA/ACCA/MBA) is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, Real Estate preferred.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
• Proficient MS Office, especially Excel; Yardi ERP knowledge is a plus.
• IFRS/Lux GAAP knowledge is optional but advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle real estate finance transactions including acquisitions, disposals, liquidations and restructurings.
• Prepare Day1 entries and opening balances based on completions accounts.
• Review fund flow and provide comments to REU and BX; coordinate with teams for TB cleanup.
• Prepare liquidation/merger entries and US tax packs for liquidation entities.
• Maintain internal trackers for acquisitions, liquidations, disposals and restructurings.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests and process improvements.

Resposibilities

• Real Estate Finance Transactions (Acquisitions/Disposals/Liquidations/Restructuring)
• Transactional Accounting
• Review Fund flow and provide comments to REU and BX;
• Prepare acquisition entries based on Fund flow;
• Analysing structures of newly acquired projects and scrutinizing their Tax Structure Memorandums;
• Prepare Day1 accounting entries and opening balances based on completions accounts;
• Updating internal trackers in relation to Acquisitions/liquidations/Disposal and restructurings;
• Coordinate with REU accountants for the cleanup of Trial Balance for entities in scope of liquidation;
• Prepare liquidation/merger entries;
• Preparation of US Tax packs for entities in scope of liquidation;
• Assist with the Coordination of Disposals of the Assets;
• Assist with the preparation of restructuring entries;
• Preparing preliminary NAV for the Deals/projects with the latest estimates and TB's;
• Reconcile proceeds from sale against carrying value and closing adjustments;
• Preparation of the entries related to Disposals of the Property/Asset;
• Assist with improving and implementing internal processes relating to the system;
• Assist the team with any ad-hoc requests.

Liquidations

• Assist the team with the preparation and monitoring of liquidations;
• Assist the Associate in coordinating between different parties - internal (BX, Revantage Legal & Compliance, Tax , Treasury, etc), external parties (Service provider, lawyers, tax advisors, auditors, liquidators) to ensure internal liquidation processes are followed and liquidation constraints are identified and dealt with/tackled - where applicable.

Profile

• Analytical mind-set and logical thinking
• Degree in accounting (CA/ACCA/MBA);
• Knowledge of IFRS/Lux GAAP (optional) will be an advantage;
• At least 2 -4 years of relevant professional experience in general accounting (Real Estate experience preferred), including financial accounting, administration and year-end audit & reporting processes;
• Fluency in English (verbally and in writing) is a compulsory requirement
• Proficient user of MS Office, high level especially in Excel; Yardi ERP knowledge will be an advantage.
