Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking an Analyst - Data Engineering with 1–3 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, processing workflows, and reporting infrastructure.

You will work with senior engineers and analytics teams to ensure reliable, well-structured data for dashboards and downstream analytics. You will collaborate on ETL/ELT development, SQL optimization, data validation, and BI dashboard delivery using tools like Looker,

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering experience with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing.
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks and any cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS).
• Familiarity with BI dashboards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into data warehouses or lakes.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Monitor scheduled data jobs/notebooks using orchestration tools; troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) with analytics teams.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy across systems.
• Document pipelines, schemas, and processes for team knowledge sharing.
• Respond to data incidents within SLAs; escalate to senior engineers as needed.
• Collaborate with analysts, product, and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Follow coding, version control (Git), and data governance best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from senior team members.

Job Description

Data Engineer with at least 1 year of hands‑on experience to support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, processing workflows, and reporting infrastructure. This role will work closely with senior engineers and analysts to ensure reliable, well-structured data is available for dashboards, reporting, and downstream analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses or lakes.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Support and monitor scheduled data jobs/notebooks (e.g., Dataproc, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools), troubleshooting failures and data quality issues.
• Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) in collaboration with business/analytics teams.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Document data pipelines, schemas, and processes for team knowledge sharing.
• Respond to data-related incidents/tickets within agreed SLAs, escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analysts, product, business stakeholders) to understand data requirements.
• Follow coding, version control (Git), and data governance best practices.
