Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India) is a venture capital firm established by former founders and operators, with a goal to help catalyse India's transformation into a developed nation by 2047. The firm invests across high-growth sectors including consumer technology, B2B commerce, enterprise software and fintech. Since its inception in 2006, Z47 has partnered with visionary founders from seed to Series B, providing comprehensive support that extends far beyond capital.
With USD 3.5+ billion in AUM, a portfolio of more than 100 companies and 10 unicorns backed, Z47 is a hands‑on partner dedicated to the success of entrepreneurs. Its last fund of USD 525 million (raised in 2023) signals strong LP confidence and immediate capital for new investments. Key portfolio companies include Ola, Ola Electric (IPO done), Razorpay, Finnable, OfBusiness, Country Delight, FiveStar (IPO done) and GreyLabs AI, among others. In mid‑2024, the firm rebranded as Z47 to reflect its independence and sharpened Indian focus.
We are looking to add an enterprising team member to our Corporate Development team. The function is responsible for key strategic activities relating to capital raising, M&A, exits and partnerships for our portfolio companies — transaction ideation and execution in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
The role offers the opportunity to work with, and strengthen relationships with, some of the most prestigious companies in India. It is designed as a 2–3 year, pre‑MBA/MS experience, with placement at Analyst or Senior Analyst level based on fitment. Candidates who are already MBAs will be evaluated for an Associate‑level fitment, joining as a Senior Analyst with a fast‑traked path to Associate.
We index heavily on India‑trends knowledge while hiring, and typically look at candidates from investment‑banking KPOs, consulting research centres, and select investment banks including Big 4 Transactions and IB teams.
