Job summary

Sikich India is seeking an Accounting Analyst with 3–5 years of experience to support US GAAP accounting and financial statement preparation for US-based clients.

The role involves daily AP/AR management, payroll, invoicing, monthly closings, and detailed reporting. Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills, plus a solid accounting background, are required for accurate, timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's degree is a plus.
• Experience with US GAAP and financial statement prep.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform AP and AR management on daily basis.
• Prepare and send invoices for clients.
• Manage payroll for clients.
• Conduct monthly close activities and prep financial statements.
• Create reports, budgets, cash-flow models, and extra reports.
• Prepare sales and payroll tax returns and liaise with US project leads.
• Ensure timely, accurate client reporting and deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing daily accounting activities including AP management & AR management
• Creating and sending invoices for clients
• Managing payroll for clients
• Performing monthly close activities
• Preparing financial statements
• Creation and management of reports, budgets, cash-flow models, and supplemental reports
• Preparation of sales and payroll tax returns
• Development of one-on-one relationships with US-based project leads
• Ensuring that reports sent to clients are accurate and sent within scheduled timeframes
• Drive quality project deliverables
• Progressively enhance leadership skills and guide Associates on delivery work
• Participate in Training and Development to hone skills of peers and self

Requirements for Successful Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Accounting is a plus
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic
• Organizational skills to provide client reports within scheduled time frames
• Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of QuickBooks™ and other US accounting systems
• Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges
