Translate business questions into clear hypotheses and analytical approaches. Analyse customer, commercial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and performance drivers. Explain what happened, why it happened and what actions should be considered. Create clear data stories, visualisations and presentations for business and senior stakeholders. Support the measurement of business outcomes and value generated by analytics.
Conduct exploratory analysis and apply appropriate statistical techniques. Contribute to segmentation, forecasting, propensity modelling, behavioural analysis and hypothesis testing. Develop, test and validate statistical and machine‑learning models using Python or equivalent tools. Evaluate models using appropriate performance, interpretability and business‑value measures. Work with engineering and technology teams to support model operationalisation and monitoring. Document methodologies, assumptions, limitations and findings.
Define analytical requirements, KPIs, business rules and calculation logic for dashboards and analytical products. Partner with Power BI developers to translate analytical requirements into effective reporting and visualisation solutions. Review and validate dashboard outputs to ensure analytical accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Support user acceptance testing and interpretation of analytical outputs. Automate recurring analysis and manual processes to improve efficiency and scalability. Maintain documentation covering analytical logic, data sources and assumptions.
Work collaboratively across analytics, data science, engineering, visualisation and business teams. Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives. Communicate progress, dependencies, analytical limitations and delivery risks clearly. Contribute to reusable analytical methods, coding standards and team best practices.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Approximately 3–5 years of experience in analytics, data science, customer analytics or a related analytical role. Hands‑on experience analysing large or complex datasets and translating analysis into business insights. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational or cloud‑based data platforms. Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical analysis or machine learning. Working knowledge of statistical concepts and machine‑learning techniques, including model development and evaluation. Experience developing dashboards or analytical visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or an equivalent platform. Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to select an appropriate analytical approach for a business question. Experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders and cross‑functional delivery teams. Understanding of data quality, analytical controls and documentation requirements.
