Job description

10+ years. Kochi preferred; other locations considered for the right person. Our single most important open seat.

The part carries more analog than a digital security chip usually does, because the security depends on it. Most of it is licensed, and the integration risk sits with us.

What you own

• Power: references, regulation, power management and reset across multiple domains, against a budget that is tight because the part is always on.
• Sensing and monitoring: on-die conversion, temperature and timing monitors, and the sensors feeding the chip’s tamper response.
• A mixed-signal block on the security path, where analog decisions have cryptographic consequences. The genuinely novel part of this job.
• Analog IP vendor selection, integration and qualification — including PDK porting risk, which on our node is real.
• Post-silicon characterisation, with an external contractor and a founding adviser who has done it before.

What we look for

What success looks like at twelve months

Every analog block selected, integrated and characterised on a test vehicle; a vendor relationship where their schedule is your schedule; and a boundary with the digital team that has stopped being a risk.

Security sensor design and glitch detection as an attack-resistance discipline. What a certification lab expects from an entropy source. The target PDK.

Not required

A security background. Twenty years. Prior Root-of-Trust or secure-element work. Experience at our specific node. Familiarity with the vendor’s IP.
