Job Title: AM / Executive- Mechanical Maintenance Engineer CCPP

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment of the Combined Cycle Power Plant. He will work closely with the Mechanical Maintenance Assistant Manager to plan and execute the mechanical maintenance program, organizing the mechanical maintenance staff to perform work effectively by scheduling maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems and assisting in the preparation of an effective Mechanical Maintenance Program.

Education: BE Mechanical

Required Experience: 4 to 9 years

Job responsibility:

  • Preventive and Corrective maintenance activities of rotating and static equipment/auxiliaries of power plants.
  • Compliance of EHS procedures & practices being followed as standard industry guidelines & Company Policy.
  • Good knowledge of Permit to work system. Conversant with BFS, Maximo will be added advantage. Conversant with JSA/MSRA.
  • Manage team (technicians and contractor staff) with good planning and complete jobs in a time‑bound manner.
  • Plan and organize all day‑to‑day routine maintenance works, breakdown works, and outage works with a team of technicians.
  • Review spares, consumables & tools. Optimize inventory based on industry best practices.
  • Assist in plant improvements & implementation related to mechanical maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and RCFA of plant equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate with vendor and supplier for technical matters.
  • Develop mechanical maintenance technicians & supervisors in line with organizational requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications of spares and purchase requisition.
  • Coordinate service contractors at site & execute work.

Preferred experience:

  • Candidate shall have worked in Mechanical Maintenance department in Thermal Power Plant; Combined Cycle Power Plant experience is preferred. Siemens Machine experience is preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience of maintenance and overhauling of various rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers, etc.) and static equipment (heat exchangers, valves, piping, etc.).
  • Possess basic knowledge of process safety.
  • Knowledge of welding, NDT, vibration analysis and its evaluation is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required with ability to drive a team.
  • Knowledge of software like MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD.
