Job summary

State Street is seeking a detail-oriented process and knowledge engineer to join Alpha Intelligence in Bengaluru. You will support process discovery, draft process maps, and curate knowledge assets to enable automation and AI solutions.

The role spans global collaboration across APAC, UK and US time zones and emphasizes continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years in business analysis or process documentation within financial services, with strong Excel, SQL, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in business analysis, process documentation, operations or automation/testing support, preferably within financial services.
• Understanding investment management or capital markets operations and the trade lifecycle across front, middle and back office.
• Exposure to process mapping and documentation tools (Visio, BPMN, UiPath Task Capture or equivalent).
• Awareness of automation platforms such as UiPath and of AI/GenAI concepts including RAG and knowledge structuring.
• Good analytical skills with working proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, JIRA and Confluence.
• Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks and deliver to agreed timelines.
• Flexibility to work across APAC, UK or US time zones as required.

Responsibilities

• Support process discovery sessions, interviews and walkthroughs with subject-matter experts, capturing detailed notes and process steps accurately.
• Draft and maintain process maps, workflow documentation, business rules, exception paths and control points using approved templates and notation.
• Curate, structure and tag knowledge content — procedures, decision logic, reference material — so it can be used effectively for search, RAG and agent solutions.
• Carry out data gathering and basic analysis on volumes, effort, exceptions and rework to support opportunity assessment.
• Assist in identifying automation and AI candidates from documented processes and in preparing supporting material for intake reviews.
• Validate documented content with subject-matter experts, incorporate feedback and maintain version control and asset hygiene.
• Support testing and validation of knowledge assets, checking retrieved content for accuracy, relevance and completeness.
• Maintain the process and knowledge asset repository, ensuring content is current, correctly classified and easy to find.
• Provide regular progress updates on assigned tasks and flag issues or blockers promptly.
• Collaborate with global CoE colleagues across time zones and contribute to continuous improvement of templates and standards.

In this role you will support process discovery and documentation, build structured knowledge assets, and help prepare the process foundation that our automation and AI solutions are built on.

Alpha Intelligence is State Street’s AI & Automation Center of Excellence for Alpha Implementations — the team rewiring how the industry’s first front-to-back platform gets delivered. We turn the deep expertise locked inside our implementation teams into engineered processes, governed knowledge and intelligent agents that cut manual effort, compress client go-live timelines and make every implementation faster and more predictable than the last.

We operate as one global team across the US, UK, Europe, India and APAC, combining process engineering, automation delivery, AI platform engineering and responsible-AI governance under a single roof. What you will be responsible for
