Xion Multiventures in Gurugram, Haryana seeks an experienced Algorithmic Trader to join our trading team. The role focuses on 12–15 years of hands-on trading experience, with emphasis on fixed income or commodities and practical risk management.

You will develop and monitor algorithmic trading strategies, analyze market data, and collaborate with quantitative/tech teams to drive data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to interpret market data.
• MS Excel proficiency is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Python or C++ is preferred and advantageous.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytically strong Algorithmic Trader to join our trading team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of hands-on trading experience, preferably in Fixed Income, Commodities, or a related asset class, along with a strong understanding of risk management and trading principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor trading strategies while maintaining a strong focus on risk management.
• Analyze market data, price movements, and market conditions to identify trading opportunities.
• Develop an understanding of the yield curve and the key factors/drivers influencing its movements.
• Work closely with team members to evaluate and improve existing trading strategies.
• Support the development, testing, and implementation of algorithmic trading strategies.
• Monitor strategy performance, identify deviations, and escalated potential risks appropriately.
• Analyze trading performance and maintain accurate records of trades and results.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, and technology/quant teams to enhance systematic trading processes.
• Gradually transition from discretionary/manual trading approaches toward data-driven and algorithmic trading methodologies.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional trading experience, preferably in Fixed Income, Commodities, or related financial markets.
• Strong and demonstrable track record of risk management.
• Provable profitable performance record in trading.
• Basic understanding of the yield curve and the key drivers behind its movements.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with an ability to interpret market data.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Strong interest and desire to move toward algorithmic/systematic trading.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or C++ will be preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, discipline, and ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
