Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Aircraft Retrofit & Cabin Engineering SME with 10+ years of expertise in Engineering Service Introduction, Aircraft Interior Modifications, Cabin Systems Integration, Retrofit Programs, and Certification Support.
The candidate will lead end-to-end aircraft cabin modification and retrofit activities, supporting commercial aviation customers, OEMs, airlines, and MRO organizations. This role requires strong knowledge of cabin interiors, monuments, passenger service systems, certification requirements, engineering change management, and aircraft modification programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and SME for aircraft retrofit and cabin engineering programs.
- Lead Engineering Service Introduction activities for cabin modification projects.
- Manage aircraft cabin retrofit and reconfiguration programs from concept to certification.
- Review customer requirements and develop engineering solutions for cabin upgrades.
- Support cabin layout optimization and integration activities.
- Develop and review engineering deliverables including:
- Modification Packages
- Compliance Documents
- Installation Drawings
- Certification Documentation
- Coordinate with airlines, OEMs, MROs, suppliers, and certification authorities.
- Support aircraft surveys, embodiment planning, and installation activities.
- Conduct design reviews and technical risk assessments.
- Resolve complex engineering and integration issues.
- Mentor engineering teams and establish best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Aerospace Cabin Engineering, Retrofit Engineering, or Aircraft Modification Programs.
- Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft cabin systems and interiors.
- Experience supporting aircraft modification and certification projects for airlines, OEMs, or MRO organizations.
- Extensive understanding of aircraft configuration management and change control processes.
