Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited seeks an Air Thermal System Engineer to design, develop, and integrate air and thermal management solutions for aircraft. You will ensure performance, reliability and efficiency, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and external suppliers.

The role requires strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, plus experience with aerospace certification processes and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering.
• Experience in design, analysis, and development of air conditioning, ventilation or thermal management systems in aerospace is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience in system engineering and supplier management is advantageous.
• Knowledge of DO-160 and aircraft certification processes (EASA/FAA) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledge of data analytics is a plus.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and analysis of air conditioning, ventilation and thermal management systems.
• Conduct simulations to predict system performance under varying conditions.
• Develop and review specifications, requirements and test procedures for air/thermal systems.
• Participate in system integration and liaise with other engineering disciplines.
• Support ground and flight testing, analyse data and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify improvements for system performance, cost reduction and weight optimization.
• Manage suppliers and ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and with external suppliers.
• Support RT activities as part of project teams.

We are seeking a highly motivated Air Thermal System Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and integration of innovative air and thermal management solutions for Airbus aircraft. This role focuses on ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of critical aircraft systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and analysis of aircraft air conditioning, ventilation, and thermal management systems, including component selection and sizing.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to predict system performance under various operating conditions.
• Develop and review technical specifications, requirements documents, and test procedures for air and thermal systems.
• Participate in system integration activities, including liaison with other engineering disciplines (e.g., structures, avionics, propulsion).
• Support ground and flight testing campaigns, analyse test data, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Identify and implement solutions for system improvements, cost reduction, and weight optimization.
• Must be able to manage Suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and internal company procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with external suppliers.
• Support RT activities.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design, analysis, and development of air conditioning, ventilation, or thermal management systems, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Strong knowledge and experience in System Engineering
• Experience in supplier steering/management (added advantage)
• Knowledge of DO-160
• Experience with aircraft certification processes and airworthiness requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Data Analytics (added advantage)
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
