Job summary

Teamlease Digital Private Ltd. is seeking a skilled Video Editor to blend traditional editing with AI-powered tools. You will edit learning and marketing videos, create explainer and AI avatar content, and refine prompts to optimize output while maintaining quality.

The role requires strong Premiere Pro and After Effects skills, an eye for pacing, and a showreel. Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate, you will collaborate with content, design, marketing and academic teams, deliver end-to-end

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of video editing experience in agency, production house, EdTech, or in-house brand teams.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro with multicam editing, proxies, and color/audio tools.
• Proficient in After Effects for motion graphics and titles.
• Hands-on experience with AI video platforms.
• Prompting skills to refine prompts for usable results.
• Ability to convert long recordings into short, clear videos.
• Showreel or portfolio is mandatory.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor who is equally comfortable working with traditional editing techniques and AI-powered video tools. In this role, you will create learning videos as well as marketing videos for our courses and programmes, using AI platforms to produce more content in less time without compromising on quality. This is a hands-on position that involves editing, adding graphics, refining sound and colour, and delivering the final video end to end.

What You Will Do

• Edit course and learning videos, including recorded lectures and faculty sessions, into clear, easy-to-follow lessons.
• Break down long recordings into short, digestible chapters.
• Produce marketing videos for both internal and external clients.
• Create explainer videos and AI avatar videos for course content.
• Write and refine prompts to get the desired output, knowing when it is faster to generate a shot versus editing traditionally.
• Design motion graphics in After Effects, including titles, lower thirds, on-screen text, and simple animated charts or diagrams that support the concept being taught.
• Add clear subtitles and captions, keeping in mind that most learners watch videos on their phones, often without sound.
• Clean up audio from recorded sessions by balancing levels, removing noise, and selecting suitable background music.
• Perform basic colour correction to ensure a clean, consistent look across videos.
• Export videos in the correct format and size for the LMS.
• Keep project files, footage, and versions well organised and backed up.
• Collaborate closely with the content, design, marketing, and academic teams taking briefs, sharing drafts, and incorporating feedback quickly.
• Stay up to date with new AI video tools and share useful insights with the team.

Must Have

• 3 to 4 years of video editing experience, gained at an agency, production house, EdTech company, or an in-house brand team.
• Adobe Premiere Pro — strong, hands‑on expertise, including multicam editing, proxies, and colour and audio tools.
• Adobe After Effects — ability to independently create motion graphics and titles.
• Hands‑on experience with AI video platforms.
• Prompting skills — the ability to write and refine prompts until a usable result is achieved.
• Comfortable working with long recorded sessions and converting them into short, clear videos.
• A strong editing instinct — good sense of pacing, sequencing, and knowing what to cut.
• Working knowledge of sound mixing and colour grading.
• A showreel or portfolio is mandatory. Applications without recent work samples will not be considered.
• Based in Mumbai, or willing to relocate, with the ability to work from the Borivali East office five days a week.

Good to Have

• Experience with AI avatar videos — covering script, avatar, voice, timing, and branding.
• Experience in EdTech, e-learning, online education, or any form of teaching-related content.
• Knowledge of video AI tools and platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for graphics.
• Experience creating short-form and vertical videos for social media.
• Basic shooting skills — camera, lighting, and audio — for small in-house or classroom shoots.
