About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the architecture, development, and enterprise adoption of AI solutions for a leading US Healthcare customer. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and governing secure, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and traditional AI/ML technologies. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with architectural leadership to build enterprise AI platforms, establish engineering standards, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact AI solutions across healthcare domains such as member engagement, claims, prior authorization, document intelligence, and operational automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade AI solutions for US Healthcare use cases.
• Define and own the enterprise AI architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategy.
• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of Generative AI, LLM, Agentic AI, and RAG-based applications from proof of concept through production deployment.
• Architect end-to-end AI solutions covering data ingestion, document processing, embeddings, vector search, reranking, LLM orchestration, APIs, and application integration.
• Establish reusable AI architecture patterns, reference implementations, coding standards, and development best practices across multiple projects.
• Review solution designs and provide hands-on technical guidance during development, integration, testing, and production deployment.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms for enterprise adoption.

Enterprise AI Security & Governance

• Define and implement enterprise AI security best practices across the entire AI application lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, and operations.
• Architect secure AI solutions with robust controls for authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and secure API integrations.
• Design safeguards against AI-specific threats such as prompt injection, jailbreak attacks, data leakage, model misuse, insecure tool calling, and adversarial inputs.
• Implement enterprise guardrails including content filtering, input/output validation, PII/PHI protection, data masking, policy enforcement, and audit controls.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with HIPAA, enterprise security standards, and Responsible AI governance principles.
• Conduct AI threat modeling, architecture risk assessments, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments for AI solutions.
• Establish governance processes for model lifecycle management, prompt versioning, evaluation, monitoring, observability, and AI risk management.
• Design and oversee the development of scalable AI platforms supporting multiple business applications.
• Build and optimize enterprise RAG architectures with advanced retrieval strategies, hybrid search, vector databases, and contextual retrieval.
• Design AI agent frameworks with secure tool orchestration and enterprise workflow integration.
• Define integration patterns for enterprise systems, APIs, databases, document repositories, and cloud services.
• Drive performance optimization, scalability, reliability, observability, and cost optimization of AI platforms.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership across multiple AI programs while mentoring AI Tech Leads, senior engineers, and development teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and design reviews to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable AI solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, product owners, healthcare domain experts, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support solution design, customer workshops, technical proposals, and architecture discussions with business stakeholders.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, AI Engineering, and enterprise AI security frameworks, driving adoption of industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise AI solutions using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and RAG architecture.
• Semantic & Hybrid Search
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, or Hugging Face.
• Strong proficiency in Python with experience building production-grade AI applications.
• Strong understanding of microservices, asynchronous processing, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise applications through secure APIs and orchestration frameworks.

AI & Data Technologies

• Experience with one or more vectors and search technologies
• Experience with document intelligence, OCR, PDF/text extraction, metadata enrichment, and enterprise knowledge management.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployments.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and production AI operations.

Good to Have
