Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to accelerate engineering productivity using AI-powered development platforms.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and Java, applying AI tools across the SDLC to boost velocity, code quality, and reliability.

Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps to drive modernization and secure, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern development frameworks.

• We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer passionate about leveraging AI-powered software development platforms to accelerate engineering productivity, improve code quality, enhance SDLC e ciency, and drive innovation.


• The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in JavaScript and Java technology stacks, modern software engineering practices, cloud-native application development, and hands-on experience utilizing AI-based coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Kiro, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI development tools.


• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using JavaScript and/or Java technologies.


• Leverage AI-powered software engineering tools across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to improve development velocity and code quality.


• Build modern web applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.


• Utilize AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, test automation, documentation, and modernization initiatives.


• Develop, customize, and operationalize AI-assisted engineering work ows and agent-based development practices.


• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions using modern engineering standards.


• Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.

Preferred candidate profile

Application Development Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern development frameworks. Strong experience in Java and enterprise application development. Hands-on expertise in building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Experience designing scalable and maintainable application architectures.
