Cerebras Systems is seeking an AI Silicon Physical Design Engineer to join our PD team in delivering high-speed AI chips. You will synthesize, place and route complex designs, closely collaborating with RTL engineers to ensure seamless integration into the full-chip architecture.
The role emphasises ownership, deep-dive debugging, and mastery of PD flows with tooling like Design Compiler, Fusion Compiler and Calibre. A strong EE degree and 10+ years PD experience are preferred.
Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip, 56 times larger than GPUs. This architecture allows Cerebras to deliver industry-leading training and inference speeds; over 10 times faster than GPU-based hyperscale cloud inference services.
This order of magnitude increase in speed is transforming the user experience of AI applications, unlocking real-time iteration and increasing intelligence via additional agentic computation.
Cerebras works with the leading model labs, global enterprises, and cutting-edge AI-native startups. OpenAI recently announced a multi-year partnership with Cerebras, to deploy 750 megawatts of scale, transforming key workloads with ultra high-speed inference.
Join our close-knit physical design team where you'll excel in synthesizing, placing, and routing high speed designs. Experience the full spectrum of physical design and implementation, collaborating closely with the RTL team and integrating these blocks seamlessly into the full-chip architecture.
The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $250,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
