Job summary

IF1860 GE Power Conversion India Private Limited is seeking an experienced AI program leader to drive strategic AI initiatives across Electrification. You will oversee discovery, qualification, prioritization, governance, and delivery of AI projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable value realization.

You will work with senior leadership, SMEs, and delivery teams to optimize resources, accelerate execution, and scale enterprise AI adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree with significant AI experience.
• Proven ability to deliver value via project management and change management.
• Strong knowledge of AI, ML, data science with focus on Generative AI.
• 5+ years delivering programs/projects in process improvements and AI delivery.
• Solid domain understanding of manufacturing/hi-tech industries.

Job Description Summary Drives the strategic portfolio and execution of AI initiatives across Electrification, leveraging deep AI/deep learning technology expertise, program management, and strategic leadership. Owns the end-to-end AI lifecycle-from discovery, qualification, and prioritization through governance, delivery, operationalization, and scale- ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable value realization. Partners with senior leadership, steering committees, business leaders, SMEs, GE Vernova's HQ AI Foundry, delivery teams, and platform organizations to establish effective governance, optimize resource allocation, accelerate execution, and enable enterprise-scale adoption of AI. Serves as the key bridge between business strategy, AI technology, and execution, driving collaboration, innovation, and sustainable business outcomes from AI investments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business lines, functions, SME and senior leadership across electrification to define objectives, strategic priorities for AI initiatives aligning with organization goals and priorities.
• Lead the discovery and qualification of the AI Use case ideas, collaborating SME's, Business leads following AI strategic portfolio management standards and standard work.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SME, business line AI leaders to outline multi-generational roadmap for AI initiatives driving priority and collaboration across businesses.
• Collaborate with tech leaders to align with technical roadmap ensuring prioritization of initiatives to maximize ROI.
• Collaborate with Business Line AI leaders, steering committee to drive effective, un-biased, objective and consistent prioritization of AI initiatives aligned to business goals.
• Drive cross-business line synergies and prioritization analysis synergies, technical roadmap and ROI.
• Lead the program planning iteration planning, execution of projects collaborating with all key stakeholders.
• Manage vendor relationships with AI service partners (Vendors) to ensure optimal resource planning, utilization, on time delivery along with budget optimization and management.
• Establish and execute customer success metrics, measure, govern and report on periodic basis to ensure proper tracking and customer satisfaction levels.
• Lead initiatives in an optimized way by applying LEAN principles (eliminate waste, increase efficiency etc..) across the various stages of the program and portfolio management.
• Identify and manage risks, work with AI business line leaders, AI program leader to plan effective management and mitigation.

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor's or master's degree with significant experience in AI.
• Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and driving change across organization.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, data science with specific focus on Generative AI.
• At-least 5 years delivering programs/projects in procress improvments, prductivty, managing vendors and 2 years leading delivery of AI projects/programs.
• Solid foundational domain understanding of manufacturing, Hi-tech businesses.
• Experience with Power/Energy companies is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of various project, program management methodologies with track record of establishing standards across organization.
• Strong project management skills with agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of technology, platform and various technical components involved in solutioning of AI/ML and Generative AI projects.
• Experience managing budgets, including budget and spends.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent influencing, interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal) in an multinational company across multiple regions like Americas, Europe, Asia etc..
• Self stater- requires minimal direction to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Strong track record with interest in emerging tech.
• Ability to learn, adapt and evaluate for adoption in the business to drive business value and objectives.
• Strong team player – collaborates well with other to solve problems, remove bottlenecks and actively incorporates feedback and inputs from various sources.
• Demonstrate Customer Focus- evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong relationships through trust, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape future initiatives.
