Job summary

Atlas Copco seeks a senior AI Platform leader to own scope, roadmap, and governance for the AI platform. You will drive platform enablement, architect scalable AI workflows, and ensure alignment with business value. You will collaborate across Data & AI, IT/Platform, Security, and Legal teams to promote reuse and platform-first delivery.

The role requires deep AI/ML architecture knowledge, Azure OpenAI and Databricks experience, and strong cross-functional leadership in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in AI, data platforms, enterprise technology, or related roles.
• Proven experience in platform ownership, product ownership, or technology leadership.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents.

  • Establish a single entry point for AI services, including LLMs, APIs, and agents.
  • Enable plug-and-play integration with enterprise systems and data platforms.
  • Standardize model access, prompt frameworks, and API consumption patterns.
  • Ensure observability across usage, performance, cost, and latency.
• Governance & Adoption
  • Define and enforce AI governance covering data privacy, security, compliance, and risk.
  • Establish responsible-use guardrails for the platform.
  • Track and report ROI, adoption, and business impact.
  • Coordinate across Data & AI, IT/Platform, Security, and Legal teams.
  • Promote a platform-first and reuse-first approach and prevent siloed AI development.
• AI Platform Enablement
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured AI use cases and clear requirements.
  • Define scalable AI workflows using shared platform capabilities.
  • Enable product and delivery teams to build and scale AI solutions efficiently.
  • Balance scalability, cost, performance, security, and business value.
• Business & Technology Impact
  • Accelerate AI delivery through reusable components and platform capabilities.
  • Reduce duplication and optimize AI model and infrastructure costs.
  • Improve consistency and quality through standardized architecture, prompts, and data usage.
  • Enable multiple teams to build AI solutions on a common enterprise foundation.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in AI, data platforms, enterprise technology, or related roles.
• Proven experience in platform ownership, product ownership, or technology leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures, including:
  • LLMs
  • RAG
  • Embeddings
  • Agent-based systems
• Strong experience with the Azure AI ecosystem, including Azure OpenAI, API Management, monitoring, identity, and access control.
• Solid knowledge of Databricks, including Delta Lake, MLflow, Workflows, and Unity Catalog.
• Strong understanding of API-first architecture and AI gateway design patterns.
• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps, including model lifecycle management, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of AI governance, data governance, security, privacy, and enterprise compliance.
• Experience with AI observability, cost management, performance optimization, and monitoring.
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to make trade-offs between scalability, cost, performance, security, and business value.
• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, particularly in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to balance business/product priorities with technical constraints.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across international and multicultural teams.

Nice to Have -

• Exposure to the product development lifecycle.
• Experience working in Agile product teams such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Basic functional analysis skills, including use cases and UML.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
