Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks an AI Platform Engineer based in India to design and operate a scalable AI platform. You will develop platform services, APIs, SDKs, and ML/LLM pipelines, enabling production-ready AI capabilities in a fully remote setup.

You will work across cloud infrastructure, MLOps, and governance, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable AI environments while turning experimental workflows into robust production systems. This is a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in AI/ML, MLOps, platform engineering, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of major cloud service platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform services, APIs, and SDK components.
• Build and operate ML and LLM pipelines (data ingestion, feature preparation, training).
• Integrate AI workflows into production-ready pipelines, including vector databases.
• Develop orchestration components to support reasoning workflows and memory stores.
• Deploy predictive and machine learning models into scalable serving environments with autoscaling.
• Implement runtime monitoring and operational practices for reliable AI services.
• Standardize and automate environment creation using infrastructure-as-code modules.
• Implement CI/CD practices that support repeatable deployment workflows.
• Apply security and compliance controls in collaboration with governance teams.
• Contribute to reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the AI platform.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Platform Engineer based in India.

This role focuses on building and operating the foundational platform that enables scalable, secure, and production-ready AI capabilities.
You will develop platform services, APIs, SDKs, and pipelines supporting machine learning and large language model development.
The position combines AI/ML engineering with MLOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability.
You will help turn experimentation and development workflows into robust production systems, including retrieval and vector-based applications.
The role also involves deploying models with autoscaling, runtime monitoring, and standardized infrastructure provisioning.
You will contribute to secure and compliant AI environments while collaborating with governance and technical stakeholders.
This is a 100% remote, 12-month contract opportunity for professionals based in India.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform services, APIs, and SDK components that support machine learning and LLM development.
• Build and operate ML and LLM pipelines covering data ingestion, feature preparation, training, and related development workflows.
• Integrate AI workflows into production-ready pipelines, including document retrieval systems and vector databases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in AI/ML, MLOps, platform engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Working knowledge of major cloud service platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
• Understanding of machine learning and large language model development workflows.
• Experience working with production-oriented AI/ML systems, pipelines, or platform services.
• Familiarity with retrieval workflows, vector databases, model serving, or AI orchestration is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an ability to work across application and infrastructure layers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and communicate clearly with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
