Job summary

Google Cloud seeks an AI Outcome Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineering, to architect and deliver enterprise-grade AI integrations. You will bridge pre-sales evaluation and post-sales execution, shaping solutions through adoption and rapid activation. You’ll chart the technical delivery and align with customer IT ecosystems.

You will lead architecture, debugging, and collaboration with Product and Engineering to ensure scalable, secure deployments for strategic accounts globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years troubleshooting technical issues for partners or customers.
• Experience leading delivery strategies, debugging systems, and interfacing with product/engineering.
• Experience reading or debugging code in Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.

• Experience in system design or orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account teams during technical evaluation phases to assess feasibility, shape proposals for adoption, and validate engagement requests.
• Lead upfront technical design for enterprise AI solutions, ensuring secure integration of models, agents, and connectors into data pipelines and identity providers.
• Dive into code-level context to diagnose and resolve complex customer implementation issues, identify core bugs, and test workarounds.
• Serve as liaison to Product and Engineering, troubleshooting deployment blockers and translating feedback into feature requests.
• Steer implementation strategy with technical authority and architectural foresight, aligning delivery with customer teams.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
• Experience leading technical delivery strategies, debugging systems, and interfacing with product/engineering organizations.
• Experience reading or debugging code in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with enterprise integrations (e.g., APIs, enterprise content management (ECMs), identity), cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML model deployments.
• Experience in system design or orchestration frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience orchestrating specialized technical resources to execute complex builds.
• Experience engaging with, presenting to, and influencing technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Ability to dive deep into novel technical problems, decipher extreme ambiguity, diagnose bugs, and emerge with credible architectural solutions.
• Excellent executive communication skills, capable of translating deep technical integration issues into business impact.

As an AI Outcome Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), you will be responsible as an enterprise architect, technical debugger, and engineering liaison. You will bridge the gap between pre-sales agreement shaping and post-sales execution. Entering the agreement cycle during the technical evaluation phase for strategic accounts, you will ensure that solutions are shaped strictly through the lens of adoption, rapid activation, and viable delivery. You will be the overarching Enterprise Architect and Technical Delivery Manager charting the course. You will also be responsible for technical design, systemic debugging, product and engineering integration, and strategic FDE alignment. You will architect how these technical marvels actually integrate into the customer's IT ecosystem (connectors, identity, data residency, legal constraints) and drive the technical delivery strategy from start to finish. • Dive into code-level context to diagnose and resolve complex customer implementation issues, identify core product bugs, and test workarounds to clear execution roadblocks.
• Serve as the definitive liaison to core Product and Engineering teams, troubleshooting systemic deployment blockers and translating real-world field feedback into actionable feature requests.
• Steer implementation strategy through technical authority and architectural foresight while owning the technical reality of delivery alongside customer-facing teams.
