About the Role

Bacancy is looking for an experienced AI/ML Team Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python, along with proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.The role involves working closely with architects, engineering teams, product stakeholders, and clients to build scalable, reliable, and production-ready AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Developers.


• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for complex business problems.


• Provide technical leadership across the complete AI/ML development lifecycle.


• Work closely with Solution Architects and Engineering Leaders to define technical approaches and implementation strategies.


• Develop and implement Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.


• Design and develop Generative AI and LLM-based applications.


• Build solutions using RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI agents.


• Evaluate and integrate appropriate AI/ML models, frameworks, and third‑party AI services.


• Review code, technical designs, models, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and scalability.


• Establish best practices for AI/ML development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and model evaluation.


• Work with DevOps/MLOps teams to deploy and maintain AI/ML models in production.


• Troubleshoot model performance, scalability, latency, and reliability issues.


• Conduct technical POCs and experiments to validate new AI/ML technologies.


• Stay updated with emerging developments in Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning.


• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into effective AI/ML solutions.


• Participate in client discussions, technical workshops, solution discussions, and demonstrations.


• Support estimation, technical planning, and project execution activities.


• Identify technical risks and proactively define appropriate solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• Strong hands‑on experience with Python.


• Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms.


• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn, or equivalent.


• Strong experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).


• Hands‑on experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and LLM integration.


• Experience with AI frameworks/tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or equivalent.


• Experience working with models/APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or equivalent.


• Understanding of NLP, Computer Vision, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, or related AI/ML domains.


• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud‑based applications.


• Good understanding of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.


• Experience with at least one major cloud platform AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor AI/ML engineers and developers.


• Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback.


• Define development standards and best practices for the team.


• Support team members in solving complex technical challenges.


• Participate in technical hiring and evaluation of AI/ML talent.


• Plan technical tasks and ensure timely delivery.


• Promote knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions for enterprise clients.


• Experience with Agentic AI and multi‑agent systems.


• Experience with production‑scale LLM applications.


• Experience with AI model evaluation, observability, security, and governance.


• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
