Job summary

Lifesight, a fast-growing SaaS company, seeks a hands-on AI Engineer to build AI systems from scratch using Gen AI, LLMs, and RAG. You will integrate automation and agents into business processes with humans in the loop, driving innovation and efficiency.

You will design, implement, and optimize models, pipelines, and feature engineering, leveraging TensorFlow, PyTorch, Vertex AI, and cloud platforms to deliver scalable AI solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning.
• Experience building AI systems from scratch with Gen AI, LLMs, and RAG.
• Hands-on Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Research & scoping with stakeholders to identify use cases.
• Design, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art models (LLMs, Gen AI).
• Optimize models for performance and scalability.
• Implement advanced feature engineering for structured and unstructured data.
• Leverage TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ML pipelines (Vertex AI).
• Develop autonomous AI agents with prompting and agentic workflows.

Position Overview

This is a highly technical and hands-on role where you will be responsible for building AI systems from scratch, leveraging technologies such as Generative AI (Gen AI), RAG, Graph based systems and LLMs.that integrating automation tools and agents into existing business processes and operations, with humans in the loop, is the key to innovation and efficiency. We launched an internal initiative for executing this and we are building a team around this.

Key Responsibilities

• Research & Scoping: Collaborate with stakeholders in various teams and departments to scope out potential business use cases.
• Design, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art models, including LLMs and Generative AI frameworks.
• Perform model optimization for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
• Implement advanced feature engineering techniques for both structured and unstructured data.
• Leverage leading libraries like TensorFlow, and PyTorch for experimentation and production.
• Build and optimize machine learning pipelines with tools like Vertex AI.
• AI Agent Development: Design and implement autonomous AI agents aimed at optimization using custom prompting and agentic workflows.

What we are looking for

Skills

• Possess a bias for action with a track record of solving technical challenges creatively.
• Experienced in 0-1 MVP development and iterative prototyping.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in leveraging LLMs, RAG and Agentic frameworks.
• Passionate about staying up to date with AI trends and best practices.
• Strong expertise in Python, proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MLOps practices;experience in cloud-based deployment and machine learning frameworks.
• Technical expertise - Hands-on experience with Gen AI, RAG, Graph AI and LLM's.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP including AI/ML services.
• Knowledge of LLMs, vector databases, and applied Gen-AI techniques and frameworks (RAG, Agentic AI orchestration, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc)

Experience

• Have 3-6 years of experience in the Data Science / Machine learning domain.
