Job summary

PwC in India is seeking an experienced engineer to design and deliver agentic automation solutions within PwC’s AIOps program. You will work closely with clients to translate requirements into scalable automation, while guiding a growing team of Associate FDEs.

You’ll contribute to standards, security, and the end-to-end lifecycle, from discovery to production, in a fast-paced enterprise environment that values measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering experience, including 2+ building production LLM/agentic or advanced automation systems.
• Depth in one pillar (agent build, intelligent automation, or platform) with working breadth across the others.
• Strong communication — able to work directly with client engineers and stakeholders.
• Nice to have ServiceNow CAD/CIS or cloud architecture certification.
• Public technical work; experience in managed or professional services.

About PwC AIOps

PwCs AIOps runs the client’s operations with intelligence built in: we deploy PwC’s agentic platforms and automation accelerators into the client’s environment and operate them in production — taking cost out of the run while improving service quality, measured and sustained year over year. This is broader than the classic “AI for IT operations”; it is operating a workforce of agents and automations that do the work, with the engineering discipline to keep them reliable and to prove the value. Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are embedded with the client — high-agency, ship-to-production engineers who own outcomes rather than tickets, sitting close to the work and building what is needed. AIOps is delivered across three disciplines that work as one loop. Build & Deploy ships the work-doers — AI agents for judgment- and language-heavy tasks, and deterministic automation for high-volume, rules-based work; the two go hand in hand, chosen by whichever is the faster, safer path to takeout. Operations (AgentOps) keeps the deployed fleet trustworthy through evaluation, guardrails, drift detection, and incident response — what lets a lean core safely operate an ever-growing footprint. Observability & SRE instruments the estate to find the toil, cut the noise, and quantify the efficiency delivered. Build creates capability, AgentOps keeps it reliable, and Observability finds the next opportunity and proves the last. Efficiency compounds because we run a flywheel, not a project: observe to locate toil and cost, build or automate it away, operate it reliably so it scales without adding heads, prove the takeout, and reinvest the freed capacity into the next opportunity — so value scales with the fleet, not headcount. What you’ll do

Design & deliver Own the design and delivery of agentic and automation solutions for your domain, from discovery through production. Architect agent harnesses, tool‑use patterns, and MCP integrations that other engineers extend. Build deterministic automations (ServiceNow, integrations) where they are the faster, cheaper, safer path to takeout. Own the paved‑road / platform tooling where assigned — golden‑path deployment, templates, secrets — so other builders never touch plumbing.

Standards & quality Set build standards for the workstream: code quality, testing, deployment, and security. Review designs and code; raise the engineering bar across the pod. Build for gated autonomy from the start — evals, guardrails, and human‑in‑the‑loop so a solution can graduate safely from shadow to higher autonomy.

Client & opportunity Partner directly with client stakeholders to shape requirements and source new use cases. Translate ambiguous operational pain into a scoped, buildable solution; feed candidates into the team’s innovation cadence.

Your toolkit

Deep in this track, with working breadth across the others: Engineering: expert Python and system design; fluent in agentic SDLC tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, and similar). Agents: harnesses, MCP, tool‑use design, orchestration frameworks, RAG, and evaluation as you build. Automation: ServiceNow (Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Now Assist) or strong iPaaS. Platform / DevOps: CI/CD, containers, infrastructure‑as‑code, secrets management, and at least one cloud.

What you’ll bring

Your domain has solutions live in production delivering measurable takeout.
