Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on AI/ML engineering; Azure-focused experience preferred.
• Azure AI Engineer Associate certification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI solutions on Azure using services such as Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into practical AI use cases.
• Build ML models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

Our client is looking to onboard an AI Engineer across multiple locations in India for a remote/hybrid role that can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or contractual basis, depending on the candidate's preference and eligibility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented AI Engineer with a strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing, particularly on the Azure platform. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that create real business impact, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into working AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI solutions on Azure using services such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Databricks.
• Work along with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and convert them into practical AI use cases.
• Build and implement machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Track and improve model performance using the right evaluation metrics.
• Stay current with evolving Azure AI tools, features, and best practices.
• Guide and mentor junior team members on technical approaches and best practices.
• Work with Agentic AI frameworks to design autonomous, decision-making AI systems.

Required Skills

AI Experience

• Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Databricks.
• Practical experience building and training models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts and architectures for autonomous, decision-making systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar AI copilot development tools.
• Exposure to NLP, Generative AI, or large language models (LLMs).
• Understanding of Responsible AI, data privacy, and AI governance practices.

Managerial Experience

• Experience guiding or mentoring junior engineers on technical approaches and best practices.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Comfortable presenting technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Operational Experience

• Experience building and maintaining scalable ML pipelines covering data ingestion, processing, and deployment.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and deployment pipelines.
• Experience evaluating and improving model performance using appropriate metrics.
• Exposure to data governance and security practices within AI/ML environments.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering; Azure-focused experience preferred.
• Azure AI Engineer Associate or an equivalent Azure AI/ML certification (preferred, not mandatory).
