Job summary

NTT DATA seeks an AI Engineer Advisor in Noida, Uttar Pradesh to design, build and deploy AI agents and GenAI solutions for enterprise applications. You will orchestrate multi-agent workflows, connect to enterprise systems via REST APIs, and implement reproducible RAG pipelines.

The role requires 7–10 years in software/ML with at least 3 years in AI, hands-on Python coding, and experience with LangChain or similar frameworks.

Qualifications

Job Description – AI Engineer

Role: AI Engineer – Agentic AI

Grade: Grade 10/11

Experience Required: 7–10 years overall, with at least 3 years of relevant AI / GenAI experience

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to design, build and deploy AI agents and Generative AI solutions for enterprise applications. The candidate will build agents that plan tasks, call tools and APIs, and complete multi-step workflows, along with the prompts, retrieval (RAG) pipelines and integrations behind them. The role also requires daily use of AI coding assistants to speed up delivery.

The ideal candidate should be able to work with data scientists, software engineers, product owners and business stakeholders to take AI solutions from idea to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI agents and multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or AutoGen.
• Connect agents to enterprise systems and data through REST APIs, SDKs, tool / function calling and MCP servers.
• Write, test and refine prompts so that LLMs give accurate, consistent and safe responses.
• Build RAG pipelines covering document ingestion, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval tuning.
• Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) for development, testing, code reviews and documentation.
• Package and deploy AI services using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Build user interfaces for human-AI interaction, including human review and approval steps.
• Set up evaluation and monitoring for accuracy, hallucinations, latency and cost, and act on the results.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy and responsible AI guidelines, including bias mitigation and prompt-injection safeguards.
• Lead AI projects end to end, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers, review code and share best practices with the team.
• Present AI opportunities and project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, solution demos and proofs of concept.
• Document prompt strategies, agent designs and outcomes for reuse across teams.

Must Have Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall experience in software engineering, data engineering or ML engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in AI / ML, including hands‑on GenAI work.
• Strong hands‑on coding in Python (C# acceptable alongside Python).
• Hands‑on experience building AI agents with at least one framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or Semantic Kernel.
• Experience with LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Azure OpenAI or open‑source models.
• Strong prompt engineering skills for real business use cases.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings and vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, pgvector or Azure AI Search.
• Experience integrating AI with applications through REST APIs, SDKs and tool / function calling.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP) and its AI services.
• Experience with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Front‑end skills to build simple agent interfaces (React, Streamlit, Gradio or similar).
• Experience in client‑facing delivery, pre‑sales or proofs of concept.

Nice to have skills

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent‑to‑agent (A2A) protocols.
• Experience with LLM evaluation and observability tools such as LangSmith, Langfuse, Ragas or DeepEval.
• Exposure to classic ML using TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit‑learn, and data processing with pandas, NumPy or Spark.
• Knowledge graphs (Neo4j) or graph‑based RAG.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to fast‑changing AI technologies and business requirements.
