Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for enterprise use cases. You will build Agentic AI workflows, develop RAG solutions, and deploy scalable backend services with FastAPI and Python in cloud environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and stakeholders, mentoring juniors, and ensuring security, governance, and monitoring across deployments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with 56 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience delivering telecom projects and building scalable AI solutions in cloud environments will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Build and orchestrate Agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AWS Strands, or similar technologies.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using vector databases and enterprise knowledge repositories.
• Build scalable backend services using FastAPI and Python.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and business workflows.
• Deploy and optimize AI applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
• Work with foundation models, embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Ensure AI solutions follow security, scalability, monitoring, and governance best practices.

Required Skills

• 5–6 years of experience in AI/ML or Generative AI development.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of vector databases such as Qdrant, Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, or Weaviate.
• Experience with Docker and Git.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with cloud-native AI services, including:
• AWS: Amazon Bedrock, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch
• Azure: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Functions
• GCP: Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage
• Experience deploying AI applications in production cloud environments.
• Familiarity with AWS AgentCore for deploying and managing AI agents.
• Experience with AWS Strands for building and orchestrating Agentic AI workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Understanding of enterprise AI security, governance, and monitoring.

Telecom Experience (Preferred)

• Candidates with experience delivering AI solutions for telecom projects will have an advantage, including exposure to:

Education
