Job summary

Karini AI LLP in Baner, Pune (onsite) seeks an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and Generative AI solutions directly in customer environments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype solutions, productionize systems, and integrate AI into enterprise workflows.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of solutions engineering, ML, DL, or AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript with API and data integration experience.
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI or LLM-based applications.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures and vector stores.
• Experience with prompt engineering and AI safety guardrails.
• Familiarity with enterprise security considerations (PII handling, access controls, compliance).
• Excellent communication and customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to identify business challenges and AI integration opportunities across workflows.

Role Overview

As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy AI agents and Generative AI solutions directly in customer environments. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, prototype solutions, productionize systems, and integrate AI into enterprise workflows. This role blends strong technical skills, customer-facing problem-solving, and hands-on AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to identify Business challenges and AI integration opportunities across their workflows.
• Design and develop AI agents and RAG pipelines using LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Integrate AI systems with enterprise platforms such as CMS, CRM, analytics, and authentication systems.
• Implement reliability and safety best practices, prompt versioning, hallucination control, HITL loops, and offline evaluations.
• Lead PoCs and demos, validate use cases, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Document and standardize best practices, playbooks, and reusable components for future deployments.
• Collaborate with core engineering to productize customer prototypes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in solutions engineering, Machine Learning, Deep learning or AI engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript with hands-on API and data integration skills.
• Proven experience in building and deploying Generative AI or LLM-based applications.
• Expertise in RAG architectures and concepts(vector stores like Opensearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, hybrid search; metadata filtering).
• Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and AI safety guardrails.
• Familiarity with enterprise security considerations (PII handling, access controls, compliance).
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with AWS Cloud
• Experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, DSPy, or LlamaIndex.
• Hands on experience of LLM fine-tuning is a big plus
• Experience leading PoCs or production deployments for enterprise customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence.
• PhD, M.Tech, M.E. & B.E-Computer Science or AI is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in product-focused organizations.
