Job summary

Straive is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI and LLM solutions. The role emphasizes prompt engineering, guardrails, cost-aware cloud deployment, and cross-functional collaboration to translate business needs into scalable AI applications.

The ideal candidate will design production-grade LLM pipelines, integrate AI into existing platforms, and continuously monitor performance and security across cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying production LLM pipelines.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and prompt optimization.
• Experience implementing guardrails for production LLM applications.
• Solid understanding of LLM application architecture and GenAI concepts.
• Experience integrating LLMs through APIs and building AI-powered applications.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Experience with production deployment, monitoring, debugging, and optimization of AI applications.
• Understanding of security, privacy, reliability, and responsible AI considerations for LLM applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade LLM pipelines and AI-powered applications.
• Build and integrate LLM solutions into existing products, platforms, and business workflows.
• Develop and optimize prompts and prompt engineering strategies for accurate, relevant outputs.
• Implement guardrails and safety mechanisms for production LLM applications, including security and privacy controls.

• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot LLM applications in production, improving performance and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate LLM models, prompts, workflows, and AI performance using metrics and testing.
• Follow best practices for AI security, governance, data protection, and responsible AI.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with production deployment, monitoring, debugging, and optimization of AI applications.
• Understanding of security, privacy, reliability, and responsible AI considerations for LLM applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, or related services.
• Experience with RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) architectures.
• Experience with vector databases and embedding models.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of AI/ML CI/CD and MLOps practices.
• Experience working with multiple LLM providers or open‑source LLMs.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
