Job summary

Parexel is seeking an AI Engineer for agent and platform tracks to build specialized pharmacovigilance agents that improve adverse event processing and analysis. Responsibilities

• Design and implement specialized pharmacovigilance agents.
• Write system prompts, configure model parameters, build tool definitions, and define agent boundaries.
• Build prompt chains for document parsing, field extraction, MedDRA coding, causality assessment, and E2B(R3) output generation.
• Develop the deterministic rule engine layer for validation, MedDRA hierarchy verification, and regulatory logic constraints.
• Create and maintain evaluation datasets with annotated ground-truth cases and regression tests.
• Develop and maintain MCP servers to expose enterprise apps, APIs, databases, and services as standardized tools.
• Implement secure MCP integrations, tool definitions, authentication, and testing.
• Run accuracy benchmarks, analyze failure modes, and iterate on prompts and agent configurations.
• Implement cross-verification with multiple Claude instances and confidence scoring.
• Build human-in-the-loop feedback mechanisms and prompt-improvement pipelines.

• Run accuracy benchmarks, analyze failure modes, and iterate on prompts and agent configurations


• Implement the quality control agent's cross-verification logic with separate Claude instances, comparison algorithms, and confidence scoring


• Build human-in-the-loop feedback mechanisms with reviewer interfaces, structured feedback capture, and feedback-to-prompt-improvement pipelines


• Document prompt design decisions, evaluation results, and agent behavior specifications for validation purposes


• Work with cross-functional teams including domain experts and platform engineers

Nice To Have

• AWS Bedrock experience


• Experience with medical or clinical NLP such as named entity recognition in clinical text, medical coding, or adverse event extraction


• Familiarity with MedDRA, ICD-10, or other medical terminologies


• Exposure to document processing such as OCR pipelines, PDF parsing, email or fax ingestion


• Experience in pharma, biotech, clinical research organization, or healthcare IT environments
