Job summary

EY in Bengaluru is seeking a mid-level AI engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models with minimal supervision. You will work on end-to-end AI solutions, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agent-based systems.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with Docker, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure. You’ll collaborate across diverse teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering or related technical field.
• 5–7 years' experience in AI/ML projects and end-to-end delivery.
• Experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning of AI/LLM models.
• Hands-on tuning/transfer learning of transformer models.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Strong Python programming skills and APIs (FastAPI/Flask).
• Experience with Docker and container deployment.
• Knowledge of NoSQL/SQL databases and vector stores.
• Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with AI agents and GenAI platforms.

The opportunity

We are looking for a mid-level AI engineer to play an integral role in our machine learning projects. This position requires designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI models with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience.
• Should have been involved in end-to-end delivery of the scalable, optimized and enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience in performing prompt engineering and fine-tuning of the AI/ML, GenAI, LLM models & building Agents, Multi Agent System
• Practical hands-on fine-tuning/transfer learning/optimization of the Transformer architecture-based Deep Learning models.
• Experience in Agentic AI, Gen AI, LLM, NLP tools such as Word2Vec,, NLTK, SpaCy,BERT, GloVe,Autogen,Langchain, Langraph, etc
• A working understanding of cloud platforms either of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Good programming skills in Python along with experiences with Python frameworks such as Flask for lightweight applications, and FastAPI for building APIs.
• Experience in Docker for deploying the containers.
• Experience in NoSQL/SQL databases/Vector Databases.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design.
• Experience with MLOps practices for CI/CD in machine learning.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn
• Experience setting up Docker images and utilizing NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation and AI agent platforms
• Practical experience in testing methodologies and debugging complex codebases
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools like GitHub Actions
• Experience with cloud services (Azure preferred) for deploying models
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying LLM-based AI agents

Ideally, you’ll also

• Solid understanding of statistics, classical statistical models, and optimization techniques at a mid-career level
• Experience applying risk management concepts within AI and ML applications
