Job summary

Finastra is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy high-quality AI solutions. You will build end-to-end AI applications, implement RAG pipelines, and optimize LLM performance using prompt engineering.

Collaboration with product teams and stakeholders is essential for timely, production-ready delivery. Responsibilities include designing AI workflows, integrating APIs, and deploying on cloud platforms with robust observability and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for AI/ML development.
• Strong understanding of large language models and embeddings.
• Experience with prompt engineering and retrieval-based AI patterns (RAG).
• Hands-on with AI frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, FAISS).
• Git, APIs, testing, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with cross-functional groups.

What will you contribute

AI Engineer designs, develops, analyzes, and maintains high-quality software product applications. This position is located in Bangalore.

Responsibilities Deliverables:

• Participates in design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Designs and develops high-quality AI Solutions.
• Tests, debugs, analyzes and fixes application problems/issues. Works closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion.
• Follows the software development lifecycle process.
• Interacts with internal stakeholders to support product releases and/or resolve program problems.
• Develop AI solutions such as RAG pipelines, intelligent assistants, and text analytics workflows
• Build end-to-end AI applications
• Apply prompt engineering and context engineering techniques to optimize LLM performance
• Implement API integrations, function calling, and tool usage patterns in AI workflows
• Use frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar to build and maintain AI pipelines
• Deploy Support AI solutions at least on two platform (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
• Implement observability and monitoring for AI systems
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and deployment processes to support production-ready AI
• Test, evaluate, and document AI models and workflows to support continuous improvement
• Research mindset and knows to use AI tools to research deeper.
• Innovative, out of box thinking and a quick learner of latest technologies.

Required Experience:(3-6 years)

Programming: Good proficiency in Python for AI and machine learning development

LLM Fundamentals: Good understanding of large language models, embeddings, prompting, and common use cases

AI Engineering Techniques: Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, and AI application patterns such as RAG and agent-based workflows

AI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with at least one AI framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar

Vector Databases: Familiarity with vector stores such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or FAISS for embeddings and retrieval

Software Development: Understanding of Git, version control practices, APIs, testing, and software engineering fundamentals

Collaboration: Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams and collaborating with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders

Problem-solving skills with the ability to debug issues, learn new tools quickly, and deliver practical solutions

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent
