About the role

We’re an applied-AI and data consultancy delivering production-grade AI and data platforms for clients across financial services, retail, supply chain, and the public sector. As an officialAnthropic and Databricks partner, we build modern, agentic AI systems on top of clean, well‑engineered data foundations — and we’re looking for an engineer who is genuinely strong on both sides of that line.

This is a fully remote position. You’ll work directly with senior delivery leads and clients, owning meaningful pieces of the build from data ingestion through to AI‑powered applications in production.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines and lakehouse architectures on Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows, Medallion architecture).
• Build and deploy agentic and generative AI solutions using Anthropic’s Claude models— including prompt engineering, tool use / function calling, MCP integrations, and retrieval‑augmented patterns.
• Develop and maintain cloud‑native data and AI infrastructure on AWS, with a serverless‑first, cost‑conscious mindset.
• Build with security by design— least‑privilege access, encryption, secrets management, and safe handling of sensitive client and AI data throughout the pipeline.
• Translate ambiguous client problems into reliable, observable, well‑tested systems.
• Collaborate across delivery teams spanning multiple time zones, and contribute to engineering standards and reusable assets.

Required qualifications

• AWS certification is required— at least one current associate‑level (or higher) certification such as AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks and the Spark/Delta Lake ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of Anthropic’s Claude and the broader LLM/agentic‑AI landscape— practical experience building with the Claude API, prompt engineering, and AI application patterns.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: Python and SQL, version control, CI/CD, testing, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• A solid grounding in security is essential— you understand cloud security fundamentals (IAM, network security, encryption in transit and at rest), data privacy, and how to build and operate systems that protect sensitive information.
• Experience taking data and AI workloads to production, not just prototypes.
• Excellent written communication and the discipline to work effectively in a distributed, remote team.

Nice to have

• Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Associate/Professional or Machine Learning Associate).
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and multi‑agent systems.
• Background in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) or consulting delivery.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and SOC 2‑aligned practices.
• Security certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP) or hands‑on experience with compliance frameworks.
