Qualifications

The project is an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) that drives innovation, consulting and delivery of AI-powered solutions. The role works with leadership, business teams and engineering specialists to define high-impact AI initiatives and support their adoption across the organisation.

Our client is a leading global technology and consulting organisation. It delivers digital solutions, AI-powered products and enterprise-scale transformation programmes. The client works with global partners to design, build and run tools and platforms that create business value.

Team size: 20+ people

Cross functional team: leadership, business stakeholders, product owners, data scientists and engineers.

Working style: consultative and delivery-focused, with close alignment on roadmap planning, solution design, implementation and knowledge sharing.

We are looking for an experienced AI Consultant and Leader to head its AI Centre of Excellence. The role works closely with the client's leadership and business teams to identify and propose high-impact AI projects. It also works with development teams to make sure AI solutions are implemented, adopted and scaled successfully.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary AI consultant to the client: understand business challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Develop and drive an AI strategy aligned with client goals, and promote innovation and best practices through the AI CoE.
• Lead the assessment, prioritisation and roadmap planning of AI initiatives.
• Work with product owners, data scientists, engineers and business stakeholders to scope, design and deliver AI solutions.
• Advise on AI technologies, frameworks and architectures that fit the client's environment.
• Make sure AI projects meet business objectives, maintain technical quality and follow ethical AI principles.
• Mentor and lead AI CoE team members to build internal AI capabilities and knowledge sharing.
• Follow AI trends, tools and emerging technologies, and advise on continuous improvement.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and report regularly on roadmap progress, benefits, risks and.delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in AI consulting, solution architecture or related roles, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in AI/ML technologies, frameworks and best practices.
• Track record of driving AI initiatives from idea through design and implementation in enterprise environments.
• Experience working directly with clients and executive leadership to turn business needs into AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience working with development teams and data scientists.
• Solid understanding of AI ethics, data privacy and responsible AI principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in complex, fast-moving environments and manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience building or leading a Centre of Excellence or a similar structure.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and AI lifecycle management tools
