Job summary

ConexusDX Part of the Recolution Group is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer for a fully remote freelance role. You will design, build and deploy production‑ready AI solutions across frontend, backend, data and cloud infrastructure.

You will work with React/Next.js on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, PostgreSQL for data, and Azure AI Foundry for AI agents and model deployment, ensuring scalable, auditable, and high‑quality outputs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full‑stack capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end AI‑powered applications and internal tools.
• Develop AI agent workflows, orchestration, prompt logic and model integrations using Azure AI Foundry.
• Build frontend interfaces using React/Next.js and backend services with Node.js.
• Design and maintain data layers using PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and maintain solutions across Azure, including App Service and Azure AD.
• Develop automated QA and evaluation pipelines for generative AI outputs.
• Embed AI into development workflows including IDEs, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Establish coding standards, reusable patterns and guardrails for AI development.
• Identify and mitigate risks around model performance, latency, cost, scalability and data quality.

Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer

We're supporting a global organisation that is building and scaling a new generation of internal AI-powered tools and applications.

They're looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer to work across the full development lifecycle, combining strong software engineering skills with hands‑on experience building AI agents and LLM-powered applications on Azure AI Foundry.

This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll design, build and deploy production‑ready AI solutions across frontend, backend, data and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end AI-powered applications and internal tools.
• Develop AI agent workflows, orchestration, prompt logic and model integrations using Azure AI Foundry.
• Build frontend interfaces using technologies such as React / Next.js and backend services using Node.js.
• Design and maintain data layers using technologies such as PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and maintain solutions across Azure, including Azure App Service and Azure AD.
• Develop automated QA and evaluation pipelines for generative AI outputs.
• Embed AI into development workflows including IDEs, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Establish coding standards, reusable patterns and guardrails for AI-assisted development.
• Identify and mitigate risks around model performance, latency, cost, scalability and data quality.
• Produce architecture documentation, technical guides and runbooks.

We're Looking For

• 8+ years' software engineering experience, ideally with strong full‑stack development experience.
• Proven experience building production‑grade applications.
• Strong frontend and backend development skills, particularly React/Next.js and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure AI Foundry, including agent orchestration, model deployment and evaluation - essential.
• Strong Azure experience including App Service and Azure AD.
• Experience with LLM-based applications and AI coding tools.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM limitations and AI output validation.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring and model versioning.
• Experience building AI/LLM testing or evaluation frameworks.
• Strong UX/UI and product design awareness.
• Jira and Confluence experience.

Nice to have: RAG, multi‑agent AI systems, prompt engineering and experience within regulated industries such as pharma, healthcare or life sciences.
