Our Gen AI & Process automation team is focusing on the support of Aperam’s digital transformation. Generative AI and Intelligent Automation are reshaping how our corporate functions operate. In this context, we are looking for an experienced AI & Intelligent Automation Solutions Engineer to design, build, orchestrate, and maintain our next generation of AI agents and custom automation systems.

Collaborating closely with business teams and functional experts, you will turn complex industrial and administrative needs into smart, scalable digital agents.

Your Missions

In this role, you will participate in the implementation of AI solutions. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. AI Agents & Solutions Development

• Build Tailored AI Solutions: Design and develop advanced AI agents and custom LLM-based tools to address concrete needs across multiple business units (including Finance, Purchasing, HR, Supply Chain, and Operations).
• Hands-on Coding: Implement robust, production-grade applications using Python and leverage cutting-edge development environments and AI-assisted tooling such as Claude Code.
• Integrate AI Frameworks: Build and customize applications utilizing advanced AI frameworks, with a strong focus on the ADK (Agent Development Kit) framework.

2. Orchestration, Infrastructure & Administration

• GCP Orchestration: Deploy, orchestrate, and manage the life cycle of all AI agents and workloads within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Ensure predictable, secure, and scalable cloud deployments by writing clean, modular Terraform configurations.
• System Administration: Monitor, support, and continuously optimize existing AI agents and active automation solutions to guarantee high availability and performance.
• Continuous Learning: Keep up to date with the rapid pace of the GenAI market, LLM developments, agentic workflows, and emerging developer tooling.
• Technology Adoption: Evaluate and introduce next-generation practices and tools into Aperam's internal tech stack.

The Profile We Are Looking For

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Cloud Solutions development, with a strong emphasis on production-ready AI or automation workflows.
• Core Technical Stack:
• Proficient in Python (clean code, async patterns, packaging).
• Solid, hands‑on experience deploying and orchestrating services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• AI & Agentic Frameworks: Proven experience building multi‑agent or agentic architectures (specifically utilizing the ADK framework), and proficiency with AI development assistants like Claude Code.
• Intelligent Automation: Basic knowledge of classic automation technologies (RPA, workflow integration) and how they can be combined with AI agents to build end‑to‑end intelligent automation.
• Interpersonal Skills:
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical design and business needs.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving agility, and a strong sense of curiosity.
• Professional fluency in English (working in an international team environment).
