Job summary

JobTailor is seeking an experienced Agile Dev Team Member IV to join our Hyderabad-based team. You will design, develop, test and deploy system functionality as part of an agile squad, upholding coding standards and architecture integrity.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to system design, write and refine user stories, and actively participate in Sprint Retrospectives, using TDD/BDD to build quality and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Total experience between 10 and 14 years.
• Relevant experience of 10+ years.
• Work timings in IST: 01:00 to 10 PM IST.
• Must-have skills: Java and Angular.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy system functionality as part of an Agile team.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Agile Dev team members.
• Ensure architectural soundness and high code quality.
• Define, execute tests early using TDD/BDD and ensure acceptance criteria.
• Write and refine user stories and contribute to sprint retrospectives.
• Identify risks and propose alternative solutions; troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Agile Dev Team Members have collective responsibility for the design, development, testing and/or deployment of system functionality.
• Provides guidance, mentorship and training to a direct reporting staff of Agile Dev team members.
• Agile Dev Team Member IV with primarily a development discipline provides technical feasibility using a range of coding methods and adheres to coding standards to ensure consistent style and format.
• Ensures systems are architecturally sound, high in code and component quality.
• Ensures the end product meets the business acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements.
• Define and execute tests early, often, and at multiple levels depending on their level of experience.
• Contributes significantly to the system design and effectively breaks down features and write and refine user stories.
• Execute Test-Driven (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to build in quality.
• Supports implementation activities, troubleshoot user/system environmental issues and training.
• Identify and raise issues and risks with functional design and offer alternative solutions.
• Codes instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple applications; configures packaged software.
• Reviews and validates application technical design of team members to ensure alignment with business needs and best practice architecture principles.
• Analyzes and evaluates existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency.
• Mentors junior team members in test planning and execution tools and techniques.
• Actively participates in the Sprint Retrospectives and Inspect & Adapt to discuss opportunities for improvement.
