Job summary

State Street seeks an Officer – Agentic AI Engineer to independently design, implement, and optimize agent orchestration and multi-agent workflows within its GenAI Center of Excellence. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the agentic AI platform.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of hands-on experience with distributed/agentic systems, Python, and cloud-native development across AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying distributed or agentic systems.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with at least one additional modern programming language (such as Java, Go, or C++).
• Experience implementing event-driven, microservices, or multi-agent architectures at scale.
• Strong background in cloud-native development and operations on AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring solutions.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

• Contribute to platform documentation and establish best practices.
• Mentor Senior Associates and foster knowledge sharing within the pod.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering, SRE, and product teams.
