Job summary

Zensar Technologies in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior React Native Developer with 10+ years of experience to drive the secure, high-performance cross-platform mobile apps lifecycle from design to deployment.

Senior React Native Developer

We're seeking a Senior React Native Developer with 10+ years of experience building secure, high-performance cross-platform mobile apps. The ideal candidate is expert in React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript) with working knowledge of native Android (Kotlin/Java) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) for bridging and platform-specific modules. Strong emphasis on mobile security, AI-native development, and the full app lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of secure React Native apps across iOS and Android; contribute to native modules as needed.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, high-performance apps using React Native, TypeScript, and native bridging where applicable.
• Implement secure coding practices, encryption, secure storage, authentication, and secure networking; conduct security audits and fix vulnerabilities.
• Use libraries such as React Navigation, Redux/Zustand/Context API, Axios/Fetch, Firebase, and native SDKs (Jetpack Compose, CocoaPods); securely integrate third-party APIs/SDKs.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development, code review, and test generation—while ensuring quality and security of AI-generated code.
• Debug and optimize for performance, memory, battery, and security; perform code reviews; mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams; contribute to planning and estimation.
• Ensure compliance with App Store/Google Play policies and mobile security frameworks.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience

8+ years in React Native development; apps published on Google Play and App Store; experience with native modules (Kotlin/Java and/or Swift/Objective-C).

Languages

Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Kotlin/Java and/or Swift/Objective-C.

Frameworks

React Native (including New Architecture — Fabric/TurboModules), state management (Redux/Zustand/MobX), navigation, REST/GraphQL integration, and native platform frameworks (Jetpack Compose/MVVM, SwiftUI/UIKit).

Security

Encryption and secure storage (Keychain, Keystore, encrypted AsyncStorage/MMKV), data privacy compliance, secure networking, familiarity with OWASP MSTG.

AI-Native Development

Hands-on daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and testing; skilled at prompting AI agents for scaffolding and integrations; understands risks of AI-generated code (insecure suggestions, hallucinated APIs, IP concerns) and applies mandatory human review.

Tools

Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD (Fastlane, App Center, Bitrise).

Architecture

MVVM, Clean Architecture, common design patterns (Factory, Adapter, Observer) applied consistently across cross-platform and native code.

Other

Strong UI/UX collaboration skills; full app lifecycle expertise (build, submit, deploy, monitor, maintain); performance profiling; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced security: code obfuscation, reverse-engineering prevention, SSL pinning, API hardening
• Cloud experience (Azure, Firebase, AWS) for secure mobile-backend communication
• Experience customizing AI agent workflows (Claude Code commands/skills, Copilot Workspace, MCP integrations)
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban); knowledge of analytics, unit/A-B testing, and monetization strategies
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
