We are seeking an experienced university graduate or professional to join our India advisory team in Gurugram. The role focuses on modelling complex power market products, developing analytical and computational tools, enhancing modelling methodology, analyzing data and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy marketing models.
- Work closely with research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the modelling team's operations.
- Support business development work, for example by contributing delivery plans to proposals.
Required Attributes
- Relevant degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other quantitative field from a top university – preferred first‑class degree from premier institutes (IITs and IIMs).
- Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working at a major consultancy, energy company, financial services company or other knowledge‑focused firm.
- Strong understanding of power system operations, including grid, battery and renewable energy system operations and their role in the Indian power sector.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex quantitative data.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, e.g., Python.
- Demonstrated experience in complex energy modelling of hybrid power products, battery modelling, etc. in the Indian power sector.
- Previous experience on energy‑related projects or policy, particularly in an Indian context (preferably in Power and Renewables).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑player attitude.
- Self‑starter with strong self‑learning attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, complex datasets and MS PowerPoint.
Desirable Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university.
- Experience in a quantitative and/or technical role.
- Knowledge and interest in energy markets, belief that well‑designed models improve decision‑making.
- Knowledge of statistical and/or optimization techniques.
