Job summary

The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) is looking for a motivated 'Project Engineer C - Electrical' to manage electrical installations. Candidates should hold a BE/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, with at least two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include handling High Tension/Low Tension equipment and ensuring the operation and maintenance of various electrical systems. The role demands good communication and documentation skills and familiarity with CAD software. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to work as a ‘Project Engineer C - Electrical’.

BE or B. Tech (Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.

Minimum two years of experience in handling HT yard, HT/ LT equipments like transformer, vacuum and air circuit breakers, DG sets, Centralized UPS, maintenance of protective and controlling switch gears, distribution system, underground cable, motor and Power Control Centres, solar panels, windmills, fire alarm system, fire fighting system etc.

Candidate should have experience in independently handling the electrical works; operation and maintenance of UPS systems, other HT/LT installations, HVAC System, Fire Fighting System, Sewage Treatment Plant, Data Center Power and Cooling System.

Familiarity with use of computers and knowledge about CAD Software,

Experience in estimation of quantity, preparation of tender documents, bills and measurement books etc.

Candidates should have good communication and documentation skills.

Job Profile

The job profile involves planning, designing, erection, testing, commissioning and maintenance of all electrical installations like lighting, power distribution (HT/ LT transformers), DG set, Fire Alarm system, UPS and other electrical systems in accordance with relevant standards.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualification and as per Centre’s norms. Selected candidate will be required to join as soon as possible.

Tenure: Initial appointment will be for one year which may be extended upto 3 years depending upon the individual’s performance and requirement of the Centre.

Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on 1st Jan. 2018), may be relaxed based on higher qualifications and/ or experience.
