What Role You Will Play In Our Team

We seek qualified individuals to provide technical support for non-metallic materials, including coatings, insulation, fireproofing, elastomers, plastics, cathodic protection, and composites for our oil and gas operations and projects. You will be based in Bengaluru, working with multi-disciplinary teams to improve processes and solutions related to non-metallic materials.

What You Will Do

• Assist sites with technical support on non-metallics materials selection, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
• Support global and regional capital projects.
• Maintain and update discipline-specific engineering documents and best practices.
• Lead material qualification activities for new technologies and R&D.
• Train and mentor entry-level employees.
• Represent ExxonMobil in international technical organizations.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in non-metallics materials in the oil & gas industry.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices for materials selection and failure analysis.
• Understanding of upstream, refining, and chemical plant operations, including corrosion mechanisms.
• Experience working with technology vendors and supporting field activities or projects.
• Field experience with coatings, linings, and composites for oil and gas applications.
• Proven ability to lead technology development and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and influence operations and engineering teams.
• Independent working skills and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of corrosion protection is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Work shift from 01:30 pm to 10:30 pm with flexibility.
• Willingness to travel internationally and support sites remotely.
• Business acumen related to procurement, supply chain, and logistics.
