Job summary

Autoliv India is seeking a Senior Engineer - Technology Development (Computer Vision) to drive next-generation perception technologies for 3D understanding, localization, and scene interpretation. You will develop scalable CV solutions using monocular/stereo imaging, SLAM/VINS, and deep learning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate research into production-ready systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with Python, C++, OpenCV, and PCL, deploying on Linux and Azure ML

Qualifications

• Hands-on CV applications in real-world deployment.
• Experience with SLAM, VINS, or localization systems.
• Camera calibration and stereo vision pipeline development.
• End-to-end AI/ML model deployment on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision solutions using monocular and stereo camera systems.
• Build and validate 3D localization, mapping, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and VINS (Visual Inertial Navigation System) pipelines.
• Develop algorithms for: 3D reconstruction, multi-view geometry, depth estimation, camera pose estimation, scene understanding.
• Perform camera modeling and calibration for pinhole, fisheye, and stereo vision systems.
• Apply both classical computer vision techniques and deep learning-based approaches for perception applications.
• Develop data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation pipelines.
• Implement and optimize solutions using Python, C++, OpenCV, and PCL.
• Deploy, monitor, and improve AI/ML solutions on Linux-based systems and cloud platforms such as Azure ML Studio.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and continuously improve solution robustness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to translate research concepts into scalable products.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Engineer - Technology Development (Computer Vision) to develop next-generation perception technologies that enable advanced 3D understanding, localization, mapping, and scene interpretation. This role combines cutting-edge research with practical engineering to create scalable, production-ready computer vision solutions using monocular and stereo imaging systems.

You will work on challenging problems involving computer vision, multi-view geometry, sensor calibration, SLAM/VINS, deep learning, and 3D reconstruction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative technologies into real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities
